Kilaurwen Winery

Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Kilaurwen Winery is set amidst spectacular protected mountain views. Only a few miles from the Swift Run Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park, Kilaurwen is a beautiful, relaxed vineyard dedicated to producing high quality, Virginia wine.

A new intergenerational family enterprise, Kilaurwen is an award-winning member of the Monticello Wine Trail. Kilaurwen has been growing intensely flavorful grapes for area wineries since 1994, and in 2009 the vineyard decided to craft its own artisanal wine. In the short time since, Kilaurwen’s wine has won several medals at the Mid-Atlantic SE Wine Competition.

Kilaurwen puts its focus on producing fruit and wine of the highest caliber. The vineyard is a relaxed place to sip a glass of some of the best wine in Virginia while looking out over the mountains and breathing in the clean, crisp air. The wine truly captures the characteristics and spirit that are unique to the Monticello region. With 360 degrees of protected mountain views, Kilaurwen is the ideal place to enjoy fine wine and an afternoon picnic with the family.
