The Mansion at Fort Chiswell is a historic home located in Max Meadows, VA which is Southern VA in Wythe County. It was constructed in 1840 by Stephen and Joseph McGavock. The Mansion is a beautiful brick Greek Revival architecture style dwelling. It was added to the National Registry of Historic Properties in May 1971. Recent ownership has been upgrading, preserving, and maintaining the integrity of this magnificent property.

The Mansion has operated as a museum, restaurant, and special events hospitality destination. A covered timber frame pavilion with a stone construction fireplace complete with brick ovens has been added as an outdoor event area for up to 310 guests.
