Richmond Virginia Shopping

Richmond and surrounding areas are home to some of Virginia’s finest and most diverse shopping, from indoor malls, to open-air shopping centers, to streets lined with eclectic boutiques.

Richmond’s “Mile of Style”, is a neighborhood around West Cary Street which offers nine blocks of shops, many of them local and unique to Richmond. The neighborhood offers new and vintage apparel, antiques, bookstores, cafés, fine furniture, and art galleries set amongst the backdrop of charming Historic Carytown.

Stony Point Fashion Park

Stony Point Fashion Park is an open-air mall which features a variety of higher-end retailers, from Anthropologie to Louis Vuitton to Luck Brand Jeans. Among the mall’s diverse range of restaurant choices, Stony Point boasts Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar and CinéBistro, a trendy movie theater-restaurant combination where diners can watch major motion pictures or artistic independent films while they eat.

Short Pump Town Center

Only a few miles outside Richmond, Short Pump Town Center, a two-level open-air mall, presents perhaps the widest variety of stores central Virginia has to offer. From specialty foods to sporting goods, shoes and jewelry to photography supplies, and apparel to furniture, Short Pump is a one-stop shopping experience. A family-friendly mall, Short Pump offers families an outdoor children’s play area–complete with the Short Pump Express-for hours of entertainment during shopping excursions.

Libbie and Grove

For a more personal experience, shoppers can visit the shops of Libbie and Grove, a shopping neighborhood with only unique local merchants. Located in the West End, “the Avenues” offer stores not found elsewhere in the Richmond area, from specialty antique stores to wine markets to invitation and fine paper shops.

Regency Square

Regency Square is a traditional indoor mall which offers two floors of restaurants and apparel and lifestyle stores. The mall’s sophisticated ambience, created by the sculptures and artwork dotting the sitting areas, enhances visitors’ shopping experience.

Chesterfield Town Centre

For Richmond’s largest selection of stores, shoppers can visit Chesterfield Town Centre, which offers 140 shops, services, and restaurants, in one convenient location.

The Shops at Willow Lawn

The Shops at Willow Lawn, located in central Richmond, includes an enclosed mall, anchor stores, a food court, and restaurants. Also found at this mall is the Barksdale Theatre, a not-for-profit, professional theater which offers a range of modern and classic plays. The mall also hosts various family-friendly events such as Mommy & Me and Imagination Richmond, which includes live music, arts and crafts, and story time.
