Bluemont Vineyard

Bluemont Vineyard is an artisanal winery tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Loudoun, Virginia. At an elevation of 1,000 feet, Bluemont offers visitors an incredible view of the Loudoun Valley as they sip hand crafted, small batch wine crafted with meticulous care on sight.

Described by its owners as a “love affair between agriculture and wine,” Bluemont offers visitors much more than incredible, distinctive wine: a visit to Bluemont is truly an experience, as guests find themselves lost in thought as they look out over the land in front of them.

Established in 2007, Bluemont is an extension of Great Country Farms, located across the street. A small winery, Bluemont carefully crafts 5,000 cases of wine each year. The each wine showcases the Virginia terroir as well as the creativity, passion, and skill of the winemakers. Each vintage—like each growing season—is unique, and expresses the current inspirations of the winemakers, making every bottle of Bluemont wine a unique and rewarding experience.

Bluemont offers a broad selection of 100% Virginia wine. The current vintages include Viognier, Merlot, Petit Manseng, Meritage, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chambourcin, Chardonnay, Norton, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Vidal Blanc. In addition to sampling the delicious wines, visitors to Bluemont are offered a selection of local and affordable food that has been carefully paired with each individual wine.

In addition to traditional winery favorites such as cheese and charcuterie plates, the vineyard offers more substantial fare for purchase such as soups and sandwiches.

A visit to Bluemont Vineyard is a truly unique and relaxing experience. The passion of the staff is obvious in each aspect of the visit, from the carefully maintained gardens to the meticulously paired food and wine in the tasting room. The staff is eager to meet its guests every need, as they recognize that a visit to the vineyard is an escape from daily life. Indoor and outdoor seating is available so that a visit can be enjoyed whatever the weather.
