An urban micro-winery, Above Ground’s mission is to deliver wine education and unpretentious wines that can be enjoyed by the casual wine drinker. The winery aims to provide excellent customer service, recognizing that a visit is meant to be both relaxing and memorable. The wines reflect a family farming tradition and demonstrate the heritage of both Loudoun County and Virginia. The distinctive wines are rich with history, and winemakers strive to allow the unique Virginia terroir speak through the wine.

Current wine varietals include Chardonnay, Seyval Blanc, Vidal Blanc, Viognier, and Wild River Red (red wine with blackberry and elderberry flavors).

Above Ground Winery is the meeting place of tradition and innovation. Though it utilizes traditional winemaking techniques as a reflection of a family farming tradition, winemakers allow their creative sides to shine through with unique blends. The current blend is an off-dry wine called Sweet Rebecca Lynn, a combination of Seyval Blanc, Vidal Blanc, Chardonnay, and Viognier.
