DelFosse Vineyards and Winery

Though DelFosse is a relatively new vineyard, it is quickly carving out an incredible reputation for itself. Located in Faber, Virginia, DelFosse enjoys both the quiet serenity of its rural setting and the convenience of its location just outside Charlottesville.

The surrounding hills allow for breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains while DelFosse’s elevation ensures flavorful grapes and rich wines.

Established in 2000, DelFosse spans over 330 acres and includes over five miles of trails for visitors to enjoy before drinking a glass of wine in the tasting room. One of the only terraced vineyards in Virginia, visitors can choose from countless activities, from picnicking by the lake to touring the vineyard to hiking or biking on the new trails.

Visitors hoping to extend their relaxing stay can enjoy a private dinner or even spend a few nights in the DelFosse historic log cabin.

As the wines range from Petit Mensang to Merlot, there is a high-quality wine for everyone to enjoy. Chardonnay, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Manseng, Pinot Gris, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Chambourcin are all cultivated at DelFoss.

In addition to these wines, the winery produces four unique, Bordeaux-style blends, all hand-crafted in small batches to ensure they maintain the high-quality people have already come to associate with the DelFosse name.

Despite being the newest vineyard to join the well-known Monticello Wine Trail, DelFosse wines have already won several prestigious awards and garnered much attention.

Whether you want to laze away a warm Sunday afternoon sipping a glass of high-end wine near a waterfall or take an adventure on bike or foot through the central Virginia countryside, DelFosse has something for you.
