Located in Louisa Country Virginia, Sunny Side is Registered as the Anderson-Foster House. Sunny Side is a Virginia Historic Landmark and is included on the National Registers of Historic Places. Built ca. 1856, this multi-story, three-bay frame house is set on a high basement built of brick laid in five-course American bond. Two brick exterior end chimneys stand at the south gable end. The house is covered with plain weatherboards and has 6/6 sash, a box cornice, and a standing-seam sheet metal roof. A large addition was added to the rear of the original structure in 1991. First level flooring features brick pavers and heart pine boards are found throughout the second and third levels. Many original details remain! One car garage/workshop with carport and a smokehouse with electricity were constructed in a manner to reflect the integrity of this historic home. Two deeded parcels comprise the 10.6 open acres.
